Release Date December 3, 201318051932

Note: This book was previously titled Letting Go; updated 6/2013.

Athena is a widow and an accomplished businesswoman. She’s the type of person who exceeds expectations in business, family–life in general. Since the death of her husband, she’s had a desire to explore submissive cravings she’s had for some time. The hitch is, Athena is known as a Mistress, because that’s the role she played to her husband.

Though she knew her submissive nature was strong enough to serve her husband as a Domme, because that’s what he needed, it’s when she meets Dale, a retired Navy SEAL, that she attempts to discover what her own submissive desires are. But letting go of that control is harder than she expected.

Fortunately, Dale is an accomplished Master who can help her accept the true nature of her submission, rather than how she’s tailored it to meet the expectations of others. But in the course of learning what letting go means, both of them will learn a bit more about the nature of love between Dominant and submissive, and how it defies all categories.

  1. Shayna, thanks so much for spreading the word about Unrestrained and letting me visit today. I’ll be cruising by throughout the day, so if anyone has any questions or comments for me about anything under the sun or moon (I’m pretty flexible and open – grin), please don’t hesitate to post them, and we’ll have a good chat! Otherwise, hope you check out Unrestrained and enjoy Dale and Athena!

    1. Thank you, Angela!! Every author loves to be at the top of the lists, but even more important is that you all like it (oddly enough, not always the same thing – grin). So if the readers are pleased, I’ll feel it’s a job well done. :> Thanks so much for coming out to see me today!

  2. Congrats on the newest release Joey! Can’t wait to read it! But I’ sure it will be as great as the rest of yours! LOL

  3. I can’t wait to read this book, I have to wait until payday but then I will be clicking that little buy button on Amazon. 😀

    1. Sue, I understand that, for certain. Especially with Christmas coming up where there will be gifts to be bought, etc. But I hope you’ll be able to treat yourself soon – or maybe you’ll win the giveaway, and one will zoom your way! (smile). Thanks for the good comments.

  4. Joey,
What do you want under your Christmas tree or in your stocking? And if you could pick one of your characters to play Santa who would it be?

    1. Lol – what a great question. As you know from seeing me at cons, I’m a big fan of the long gauzy Sacred Threads skirts (the ones with good old-fashioned 1-2 inch elastic waistbands that nip in at the waist, not the dumbass “low rise” kind), so what I usually want is 3-4 of them, so I do a self-Santa on ebay, since it’s not really something my husband or brother can pick out. That’s what the materialistic little me wants. The less material girl in me wants healthy, happy family members. Hmm…to play Santa – it may be because I have Dale on the brain right now, but he’s the one that jumped in there. Since he works with at-risk youth, I could just see him dressing up as Santa (particularly with those wide shoulders) and the kids razzing him about being too old, but being kind of pleased by the way he’d kid them and get them to tell him what they want for Christmas (the underlying message being that what they want IS important to someone). And if I got to sit on his knee and whisper in his ear what I wanted, and have him put his arm around my waist, well that would be a nice Xmas present right there (grin). Good question!

  5. Looks like I found a new author to read. Thanks for bringing her to my attention and for participating in the tour. I look forward to reading Joey’s books. Thanks again!
