Zoey thought she would never have to choose, but to save one husband, she will have to betray the other…

As Zoey Donovan-Quinn first sets foot in the faery homeland of her beloved Devinshea, life is perfect. Her enemy is defeated, her heart is full, and Neil and Sarah are at her side. Daniel and Dev are happy, so their visit to the sithein should be a pleasant honeymoon full of wonder and joy. Well, except for the part where Zoey needs to steal an ancient gem from the Queen of Faery in order to prevent Louis Marini from killing Daniel.

Reunited with her whole crew, stealing the magical artifact should be relatively easy, but unknown to Zoey, Dev, and Daniel, there are dark forces gathering against them. As her search for the Blood Stone gets underway, Zoey makes a startling discovery that will change her life, and Dev and Daniel’s forever.

When her new enemy finally strikes at Zoey from the shadows, her newfound happiness is shattered, and to avenge the horrific attack, Dev prepares his mother’s kingdom for war. Recovering from the attempt on her life, Zoey and Daniel desperately search for the stone and in the process unmask the real monster behind the assault.

Stopping the real threat, and saving Daniel, will force Zoey to choose sides in an epic war between the Seelie and Unseelie Fae, even if it means betraying Dev and his people.

reviewSteal the Sun is book 4 in Lexi Blake’s fantastic Thieves Series. Each book in the series is great and so well done in their own right, but this MUST be read in order. I know you will get excited when you see the name LEXI BLAKE or when you put your eyes on this magnificent book cover, but trust me on this, and start with book 1, Steal the Light. You will instantly be transported to a magical world full of splendor and intrigue and you will never want to leave.

When I started reading Romance novels, I was big into the Urban Fantasy genre, reading books by the great Karen Marie Moning, with her Fever Series. A great friend introduced them to me, and I was hooked at the very beginning, and they were all I could talk about. I slowly started reading other genres, but it was hard to find another great UF series that I could get in to. I’ve known Lexi Blake for her ridiculously good Masters and Mercenaries series, and when I heard about this Thieves Series she was starting, I got really EXCITED and HOPEFUL about it. Lexi has a way of creating characters that become latched on to your heart and buries themselves in the depths of your mind, so even if you aren’t reading her books, you are thinking about the characters, or comparing other heroes to HER heroes. This is crucial when you are writing a fantasy series like Thieves. There are usually so many characters: good guys, bad guys, secondary characters that you need to keep track of; if you don’t feel a connection with the lot of them, I think the stories fall through and people lose interest quickly. The skill that Lexi possesses is perfect for this genre, and that is why I can compare her to the greats like Karen Marie Moning.

Because I absolutely love this series, going into Steal the Sun, I had certain hopes for the characters. I can be a little impatient when it comes to this kind of stuff, so I think I set the bar very high when I go into the next book in a series. Let me tell you, Lexi Blake delivered in this book! I got most of what I wanted out of the main characters I have grown to love (Zoey, Danny, and Dev). I keep telling myself the author CANNOT rush certain circumstances in a book, but there was one particular scene in Steal the Sun that had me grinning from ear to ear, and I was giddy like a freakin’ school girl. It was one of the sexiest scenes I have read in a while, and it didn’t even involve a lot of sex. I’m smiling right now, thinking about it again. Hopefully, it was just a little taste of more to come from these wonderful characters.

People, we are NOT in Dallas anymore! Faery is the place where your wildest dreams or your worst nightmares can come true. Zoey, Daniel, and Devinshea are together and in a great place, but you know the drill…..shit hits the fan pretty quickly. We are thrust in to a world where one event could end up starting a war of epic proportions, and knowing Zoey, this could totally end up ruining her day and pissing her off. And when Zoey Donovan-Quinn is pissed off, guns and knives get thrown in to the mix, and her husbands become very territorial. This book takes a dark turn, and Zoey, Dev, and Danny’s relationship is tested once again.

So with Steal the Sun, you get some SEXY, you get some DARK, you get some HEAVY EMOTION, and we can’t forget the COMICAL! Z, Dev, and Danny could be in the middle of battle, and they would still fire off crazy quips at each other. They certainly know how to shine a light on the heaviness of certain events. I have to say that Declan, Dev’s irritating brother, and Neil, the sarcastic gay werewolf stole the show for me in this book. The shit that comes out of their mouths had me laughing my ass off. It was just brilliant.

Broken relationships started to mend which made my heart warm, but we are reminded of the enemies that are back home and the challenges that these characters still have to face. The crew is stronger than ever, and characters like Lee, Felix, Zack, Neil, and Sarah keep digging their way into my heart, and making me want more of them. I’m excited for the new characters that are popping up and the strike of recognition that their names mean to me. I can’t wait to continue this very naughty fairytale, and will count down the days until I get me some more DEVINSHEA!

Zoey Donovan-Quinn is growing restless. After months of searching, her crew hasn’t been able to locate the resting place of the one man who could save Daniel. While they frantically continue their quest, Zoey is still struggling to recover from the devastating losses she suffered in Faery. Desperate and on the run, Zoey, Dev, and Daniel forge an unlikely alliance with an old adversary who claims he can lead them to the wizard who can free Daniel from Marini’s clutches and help him claim his throne. As they race to solve a thousand-year-old mystery and gather their forces for the ultimate battle, Zoey prepares to do what she does best.

If Daniel and Dev are to have any hope of victory, she will have to do the unthinkable… surrender to Louis Marini and steal back the Blood Stone.
