She’s sexy, fierce, and a loud-mouthed know-it-all…and she’s completelyoff limits.

Cecilia isn’t your typical college student. Hell, she isn’t a college student at all, but that doesn’t stop her from applying for one of the biggest and prestigious enterprises in the Midwest.

She wants it. She takes it.
She doesn’t let anything get in her way when it comes to finding out the truth.

When Bentley Leighton, soon-to-be CEO of Leighton Enterprises, meets “Ceci,” he’s instantly impressed. He doesn’t have time to train a new intern. However, when he sees her that first day, his intentions begin to change.

He’s the boss. She’s the intern.
Nothing can happen. It’s against the company rules.

Then again, rules were made to be broken.

What starts as innocent flirting becomes raveled up into so much more—secrets, lies, deceit.

*The Intern is a three-part romantic suspense serial.*
Not suitable for readers under 18.

Whoo-eee! HOT, HOT, HOT! The Intern, Volume One by Brooke Cumberland was a very quick read that completely satisfied my very dirty mind. The Intern just breaks the surface and gives us a little taste of what we can expect for this series. This got my engine running, and I can’t want to jump back on this erotic and intriguing thrill ride.

❝Bentley wasn’t a boy. He’s a man. An older man who could make or break me. A man who could give me everything and more. A man I could see myself falling hard for.❞

Bentley Leighton, what to say about Mr. Leighton. MY GOD is this man sexy as sin! He is successful, demanding, and has a very VERY dirty mouth. This CEO in the making wasn’t too thrilled to be interviewing interns for the company, but when he set his eyes on Cecilia, he couldn’t think of a better way to spend his time. Instantly attracted and completely impressed, Bentley was on board with Ceci as his intern. BAD THING was, he was the BOSS, she was the INTERN now, so nothing could happen between them…..RIGHT?

❝What I want and what I should do are two different things, because right now, I want to take her to my house and fuck her six ways to Sunday. But what I should do is drop her off at her car and kiss her goodnight.❞

Cecilia needs answers, and she is determined to find out the truth of the past. She will go to great lengths to get what she needs, that includes lying to a major company in order to find a way in to use their resources. She didn’t expect to have this instant connection to the man who holds the key to finding out what really happened with her father. There is just something about Bentley that almost makes her forget the real reason why she is there. Now, not only is she distracted by her tragic past, but she is distracted by this gorgeous, foul-mouthed, addicting man.

❝Tell me to stop, Ceci. If this breaks your rules, tell me to stop.❞

The Intern, Volume One was an all around hot, steamy, great read. The ending was very well done. That is one way to make your readers immediately crave Volume Two. The sexual tension was mind-blowing, the chemistry between the two characters was electric. You couldn’t ask for a better pairing. I believe they compliment each other perfectly. With this being my first read from Ms. Cumberland, I will definitely be going back for seconds VERY SOON!

You will not have to wait TOO LONG for Volume Two. It releases June 11, 2014!
