review

Upon reading the synopsis of this book, I was ecstatic. I am a huge fan of the happily ever afters and the girl next door kind of books. I was so hoping for a good book and I got one!

I found it very easy to connect with the characters in this book. The author did a great job making sure you knew who everyone was, which I LOVE. I find in some cases authors try to introduce so many characters you spend most of your time trying to remember who they were to begin with! I did read this book twice just so I could spend a little more time with Lindy and Luke (do not judge me).

I think she put a nice twist on this book. I could not tell which direction she was going to go until the last minute, which I love. The best books keep you guessing until the very end. However, this book did end kind of abruptly for me. The resolution took me a second to register because I was not expecting it to happen quite so quickly. The epilogue made up for the rather abrupt end which I think leads nicely into the next book of the series.

Overall, I was a fan of the book.I would give the book 4 stars. She had some steamy scenes, some suspense, and a lot of fun! I am looking forward to the next book in the series to see what else she comes up with. I love discovering new authors and I think I might just put her on my must read list.
