Mia Lee has a secret…

A secret she’s kept hidden since she was eight years old, however, Mia will no longer allow that secret to define her.

An irrevocable decision has left Mia Lee a fugitive and on the run—a circumstance that should leave her weak and scared, yet Mia has never felt so alive.

Under the pseudonym of Paige Cassidy, Mia is ready to live the life she’s never had, and she’s determined not to allow her tainted past dictate her promising future.

Paige is on a Greyhound bus heading from L.A. to South Boston, Virginia, to start a new life. A life that includes finding her mother, who abandoned her at age three. But what she finds, is four people, who will change her life forever.

Yet no one can outrun their past…

Especially one filled with bitter memories, which refuse to remain hidden.

Wow! This book had it all. From the very first sentence in the prologue I was already sitting at the edge of my seat. ”I’ve always been a fuck up.” I mean how can that not get you thinking ‘ok, this is going to be good’. It was packed with action, mystery, suspense and emotion. It was filled with loss, pain, friendship, longing, desire, lust and two hot brothers lusting over the same chick.

Mia Lee was left alone with her dad after her mother took off when she was only three years old. Her father who did not take this very well, fell into the world of drugs. After that it was just a matter of time before it all starting falling apart. Forced to do things and see things that no child should, Mia becomes a strong independent young woman who can take care of herself. A haste decision to choose between life and death has Mia packing her belongings and running.

“As I got older, I knew what was happening, but I was still that scared, little eight-year old whenever my father begged me to help him, promising it was the last time. It never was.” ~ Mia

Mia finds herself in a small town of South Boston, Virginia. Going by the name of Paige Cassidy she tries her best to live a normal life. Working two jobs and making friends. Something she never thought possible. She’s starting to feel alive, smiling, and having fun. All because of four people she never expected to meet and become her only family. But how long will it last before her past comes catching up to her?

“I feel my heart break because he looks overwhelmed because of me. I have brought nothing but sadness and danger into the lives of people who have done nothing but care for me, like no one has done before.” ~ Mia

This book held my attention from beginning to end. There were moments where I was literally laughing out loud because Mia is so socially awkward and the things she says was just hysterical. That mouth of her…., she is one bad ass chic with a smart ass mouth and a mean right hook and oh yea, she carries a knife and a gun! Gahh, this book had so many good moments. And let’s not forget about the two hot brothers ~swoon~ they are both so sweet and caring, one brown-eyed pierced hottie and one green-eyed pierced hottie. Geez, what’s a girl to do when they both want you?

Well you’ll have to read to find out. You won’t regret it. You will not be able to put it down. And let’s talk about this cliffhanger for a second……major cliffhanger…’s a doozie! But so totally worth it. The anticipation will make it that much better. My jaw dropped and I was left looking at my kindle like really?! Really?! I NEED MORE NOW!!! So for now, commence the author stalking! LOL.

“I never really understood the saying, ‘I’d rather die fighting, than die for nothing at all.’ But now… now, I get it.” ~ Mia
