My name is Slade Merrick and I’m a f*cking sex addict . . .
I’ve been told it’s a problem. But I see it as a passion; something that I’m good at. And who the f*ck stops something that they’re good at?
They want me to seek help; get my c*ck in check. Don't judge my lifestyle. You’re no better than me. Just admit it, you like to f*ck too. Sex is what I do best; my own personal high, so I embrace it instead of being ashamed.
When I'm not f*cking, I'm slinging drinks at Walk Of Shame or stripping my way into your bed; another thing I'm good at. Every woman’s darkest fantasy brought to life.
So, am I stopping? F*ck no. Sex is beautiful, raw and erotic and I get off knowing I can have it with anyone I want . . . with the exception of her.
She walks into the club swaying those hips, instantly drawing my c*ck to attention. She’s pure perfection. That is, until she opens that mouth, drawing me in and for the first time in forever I want something more than sex. I want her and she hates it.
Things get dirty. Dirty is what I like; it’s how I live. But . . . she’s playing a game she can never win.
***Author's note*** Due to strong language and a very high amount of dirty, sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18. This is #1 in the Walk Of Shame series of novellas that will all be STANDALONE reads. If you're not into, cocky bad boys with filthy mouths and even filthier sex, then this series is not for you. If you are . . . then, come meet the dirty boys of Walk Of Shame.
Hang on a second while I try to stop licking this SEXY ASS cover! My god! If the cover to SLADE by Victoria Ashley doesn’t reel you in, the blurb will definitely do it for you!
❝No girl walks into my bed and walks out unscathed.❞
Just to warn you, SLADE isn’t some fairytale love story. There will be no gift of flowers and chocolates, just the gift of a sexy as sin male stripper who guarantees the best fuck of your life. I knew that fact going into this read, and I still wanted to devour it. It was nice to step away from the romantic and sweet for a while. I wanted to be consumed by the foul-mouth, arrogant, sinful Slade Merrick.
❝Tomorrow you can go back to hating me from a distance. Tonight, you can hate me from my fucking bed.❞
Slade might not show it, but he has something dark lingering inside him. Something that is consuming him from the inside out. He fucks anything and everything that walks to numb the pain. He hides behind his dirty mouth, and his arrogance to keep everyone at a distance. No attachments, no kisses, no lovey dovey shit! You’re in and then you are out, for good. What he doesn’t know, is that one woman is about to shatter his ONE NIGHT ONLY rule to pieces. Not only will she penetrate his walls, but she will be the one to bring him back to the light, make him see that he is MORE than what he thinks he is.
❝I thought I could be enough for once.❞
Aspen leaves home to visit her friend, who works at the same club as Slade. Minding her own business, trying to keep her mind off of things, she is approached by the GOD that is Slade Merrick, and so the HATE/LUST relationship begins. What Slade doesn’t know is that Aspen is hiding from her own demons. She has never been treated like she was worthy, and so she has begun to believe that. Trying to avoid this gorgeous, tattooed man is becoming more and more difficult. There is something about him that gets under her skin. She can’t decide if she wants to hug him or kick his ass. Soon the overwhelming lust wins, and so begins the train wreck that is Slade and Aspen sexual escapades.
❝You’ve fucking ruined me.❞
With the exception of the need for better editing, I absolutely thought SLADE was a great start to what is sure to become an extremely hot, gritty, and raw series. I didn’t think this would be such an emotional read for me, but when Slade’s dark past is revealed, I couldn’t get to the tissues fast enough. It’s heartbreaking and enlightening. You begin to understand why this man is the way he is. I love the LOVE/HATE relationship between Aspen and Slade. The interaction between the two was HOT yet comical. If you are looking for a fast, scorching read, SLADE is for you. You might HATE Slade at the beginning, but trust me when I say, when all is revealed, you will be able to look past the man-whore, past the dirty mouth, and actually see the beautiful, damaged man inside.
