Shannon MacLeod has always gone for the wrong type of man. After she drifted from one toxic relationship to the next, her last boyfriend gave her a wakeup call in the worst possible way. With her world shattered, she’s sworn off men—especially those of the bad-boy variety.

Cole Walker is exactly the sort that Shannon wants to avoid—gorgeous, tattooed, charming, and cocky. But his rough exterior hides a good man who’s ready to find “the one.” He’s determined to pull Shannon from her self-imposed solitude and win her heart.

As Shannon opens up in the face of Cole’s steady devotion, the passion between them ignites to blazing levels. But when Shannon’s past comes back to haunt her, her fears may destroy the trust Cole has built between them—and tear them apart for good…

My Thoughts

Samantha Young is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Not only does she give us an incredible love story, but she does it was so much emotion, depth, and realness, that you just feel like you can reach out and touch these beautiful, complex characters. ECHOES OF SCOTLAND STREET was a fabulous installment of the incredible On Dublin Street Series. Even though this can be read as a stand alone, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND reading this entire series! You will laugh, love, and cry with these amazing characters that Ms. Young brings to life.

A chance encounter at a young age that stays with them for years to come. They gave each other a piece of themselves all those years ago during that brief meeting, and never even knew it. Fast forward nine years, when circumstances brought them together once again. The pull, the connection is still there, only this time, it’s stronger than ever. They aren’t teenagers anymore. They have been through hell and back. Life has been hard, and in turn, made them harder for it. Bad decisions, pains of the past, unforgettable circumstance, help to fuel Shannon’s inability to trust. If it looks, talks, and acts like a bad boy, it is likely a bad boy. Well NO MORE for Shannon McLeod. She is staying away from the likes of Cole Walker, intense connection be damned! She has learned her lesson, and NEVER AGAIN will she fall down that rabbit hole, only to get hurt again.

If you are familiar with this fantastic series, you have grown up with Cole Walker. A young boy, with an abusive mother, who has been through horrible circumstances, has grown to be the wonderful, gorgeous man we are introduced to in ECHOES OF SCOTLAND STREET. Cole is the main reason why I tell you to go back and read this series. His past is gut wrenching but it will make you appreciate the man he is in this book. Cole Walker has been given a second chance when the young girl he met so long ago, showed up at his shop years later and has only grown more beautiful. Feeling the simmering chemistry between them, he begins to tear down her walls, and show her that he is not the bad boy that she seems desperately to paint him as. What happens when the girl you are enamored with won’t let go of her past? What if she has been hurt so bad, that she just doesn’t know how to let anyone else in? How far and how long will you go for the woman you fell in love with all those years ago?

The characters you know and love are back to help Cole on his journey to win the heart of this stubborn woman. If you haven’t met them yet, you will fall in love with each and every one of them in this installment of the series. Emotions run high, sexual tension slowly burns, and Cole and Shannon’s happily ever after will satisfy you to the core. This story will give you hope; it will reach into your chest and pull at your heartstrings, leaving you in a blissful surrender. The On Dublin Street Series by Samantha Young is one of those series that you wish would go on forever.
