I don’t know what I was thinking when I hired someone to attack me. Maybe I was bored, or lonely, or there was a void so deep inside of me that I needed something explosive to fill it.

It was supposed to be safe. A thrill. A way to break through the monotony of everyday life. It was an illusion of danger that I could walk away from as soon as it was over.

Except that it wasn’t. Because I had been in danger long before I ever invited it into my life.

My mission is almost complete. The bubbling boil of vengeance that heats my blood might finally simmer.

She is the last piece of the puzzle. Once I destroy her, everyone who ever hurt me will have paid their debt.

It was supposed to be quick and easy, but as soon as I met her it got complicated.

Very complicated.

my thoughts

DEBT by Nina G. Jones was an INCREDIBLE, dark, enticing romance that had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. And can I just say that every freaking time I look at this book cover I just want to lick it! I mean HOT DAMN! Besides the incredibly sexy cover, Ms. Jones gave us a raw, emotional, gritty romance that will find its way into your dreams. Your emotions are sure to run high in this thrilling read. The author holds nothing back, and I mean NOTHING, when it comes to Tax and Mia’s story.

A tortured soul out for vengeance. An unsuspecting woman struggling to find herself. These two never knew what hit them. Their attraction can only be described as cataclysmic. These two find pleasure in pain, and their chemistry, even though violent in nature, deepens every time they are together. Unwanted lust turns into the ultimate pleasure. Ultimate pleasure turns into a love they try to deny. Nothing is conventional between Tax and Mia, and when Tax finds out that he trying to collect on a debt that was never owed, everything changes.

To be honest, there was a point in the story where I couldn’t see a happy ending in sight. It broke my heart, with each page turned that these two wouldn’t find peace. With some of the most intense, erotic, kinky sex scenes out there, Nina G. Jones gave me a romance I would never forget.

As far as I know, DEBT is a standalone with no sequel planned. Now this might worry some people, but I’m here to say DON’T FRET! To me, DEBT had the perfect ending. No beautiful, magical happily ever after, but it was still Tax and Mia’s happily ever after. After all they have been through, I wouldn’t expect an ending with hearts and rainbows. As I lay there reading the last chapter, totally bawling my eyes out, thinking oh my god, how will this end? How can they possible have a happily ever after? Under horrible, brutal circumstances, they find a way to be together. What comes next…healing.

I can’t say this enough, but Nina G. Jones absolutely blew me away with this dark romance. This is a MUST READ for sure! At times you will cringe. At times you will blush. At times you will crave a cold shower. But in the end, you will be so glad you experienced this story. DEBT was an amazing, unforgettable, and emotional read that left me in a euphoric state of mind.

About Nina G. Jones

Owner of Boxers, lover of chocolate, writer of twisted “love” stories…for now.
A little obsessed with abnormal psychology and I think you’ll notice my characters reflect that.
STRAPPED is her debut novel and will launch on August 1st, 2013.
Here is the fancy longish version:

By day, Nina G. Jones works for an internet startup and is a freelance copywriter. She lives with her husband and two dogs.

By night, she explores the hidden recesses of the human psyche in her writing.

Nina has a background in Psychology and uses this as a starting point for her writing. She adds depth to her characters by exploring their psychological motivations. Due to the nature of the topics she explores, Nina does not shy away from explicit language, sexuality, or violence. Despite covering some heavy topics, Nina finds a way to infuse humor into her writing as well.

She has a particular fascination with people who appear to be “normal” or “successful” by all outside appearances who are hiding a secret life.
