Eleven months ago, bartender and weird-shirt-wearing extraordinaire Roxy and Officer Reece Anders had a one night stand. Well, kind of. She’s been in love with him since she was fifteen, and he wishes that night they shared never happened. She’s sworn him off forever, but the past and future collide, forcing her to rely on the one man who broke her heart not once, but twice.

Her best friend since birth has been in a long-term care facility since he became a victim of a hate crime years ago, and the person who put him in there is out of prison and wanting to make amends with him and Roxy. She’s not sure she has room for forgiveness in her and when she begins to receive frightening messages and is on the receiving end of escalating violence, she thinks she knows who is to blame. The man who already destroyed one life already.

But Reece isn’t convinced. The threats are too personal, and even if Roxy doesn’t believe him, he’s not willing to let anyone hurt her. Including himself. He’s already messed up more than once when it comes to Roxy and he’s not going to let history repeat itself.

mythoughts

Jennifer L. Armentrout is an author that I have been wanting to read for a while now. I have readers who rant and rave about this woman all of the time, so I was ecstatic when FALL WITH ME fell in my lap. This author definitely mixes the emotional with the sexy extremely well. With a heartbreaking storyline and characters that I instantly connected with, I knew this was going to be a fantastic read.

This book was a great way to get introduced to this author’s writing style. She doesn’t give us sappy romances with no plot. Jennifer gives us a beautiful, heartwarming love story that has just the right amount of suspense and intrigue. There is so much going on, but it is so easy to follow, and the chemistry and the banter between the main characters kept me captivated the whole way through.

FALL WITH ME is book 4 in the Wait for You series can be read as a standalone. I believe it has character cross-over from previous books, but this doesn’t deter you from the main plot of the book. If anything, it is an introduction to new characters, if you are new to this series, which might steer you to go back and start with book 1. Lord knows, I immediately 1-clicked the rest of the series.

This was a 1 night read for me. It flowed nicely, and I got through it rather quickly. It’s not too angsty, but has a mystery factor that will keep you guessing. Roxy is a fantastic female lead who I connected with almost instantly. We were cut from the same cloth, her and I. Don’t even get me started on Reece. He is sexy, yet tender, and completely swoon-worthy to the nth degree. Don’t wait as long as I did to get introduced to this author. She does amazing work, and gives you a love story to remember.
