The most restricted boxer at Las Vegas's Stamina gym lets himself unravel in the second Ringside novel from the author of Fighting For It…
A dedicated fighter, Middleweight Michael Perez is willing to do whatever it takes to reach the top, and with his next fight scheduled at Madison Square Garden he's almost there. A self-proclaimed control freak, he plans to drive himself cross country to the fight. But when his manager insists a sports reporter tag along, thinking it will be good for public relations, Michael finds himself under the watchful eye of Ava Phillips.
Ava Phillips has made a career out of exposing the underbelly of professional sports. Her instincts tell her that sexy, moody Michael Perez’s squeaky clean image is a cover for something more intriguing. Sharing the drive from Nevada to New York, Ava’s interest turns physical. But as their relationship heats up and Ava unearths his past, will she expose Michael’s darkness or succumb to the passions of a relationship she's only ever read about?
Sports Romance Fans…get ready for one hell of a ride! Jennifer Fusco is a brand new author to me and man did she come out swinging with GOING THE DISTANCE! Incredibly entertaining, sexy and suspenseful, this book just did it for me. I just love it when an alpha hero is brought to his knees! These characters were so good together. Their chemistry…combustible! Their banter…completely entertaining! It’s always so fun and endearing when a tough and dedicated hero turns in to a puddle when just the right heroine comes along and blows his way of thinking out of the water.
“I’ll never let you go, Ava. I might be a boxer, but there’s a brain in there. I’m smart enough to know you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”
Total SWOON ALERT, am I right ladies?
When a boxer, on a path to making it big, ends up on a road trip with a reporter, who specializes on digging up dirt, only good things can come of it right? Michael is a man of routine. He does what he needs to do to stay on the path he has always dreamed about. Ava threatens his routine and turns his life upside down. He has secrets…she needs them.
Alone, they’d be a force. Together, they’d be unstoppable.
Oh, I just loved the back and forth between these two. He hates that he is attracted to her, and she wants to be all in, but her employer is threatening that with demands. So much happens, that you will not want to put this down for a second. Sports romances are a favorite genre of mine, and Fusco did it up right. I’ll be keeping an eye out on this series, and I will be sure to pick up book 1, FIGHTING FOR IT, as these can be read as standalone.
Each book can be read as a standalone.
