Can your favorite hockey players finish their first season together undefeated?

Five months in, NHL forward Ryan Wesley is having a record-breaking rookie season. He's living his dream of playing pro hockey and coming home every night to the man he loves–Jamie Canning, his longtime best friend turned boyfriend. There's just one problem: the most important relationship of his life is one he needs to keep hidden, or else face a media storm that will eclipse his success on the ice.

Jamie loves Wes. He really, truly does. But hiding sucks. It's not the life Jamie envisioned for himself, and the strain of keeping their secret is taking its toll. It doesn't help that his new job isn't going as smoothly as he'd hoped, but he knows he can power through it as long as he has Wes. At least apartment 10B is their retreat, where they can always be themselves.

Or can they? When Wes's nosiest teammate moves in upstairs, the threads of their carefully woven lie begin to unravel. With the outside world determined to take its best shot at them, can Wes and Jamie develop major-league relationship skills on the fly?

Warning: contains sexual situations, a vibrating chair, long-distance sexytimes, and proof that hockey players look hot in any shade of green.

my thoughts

A sexy, steamy, and hilarious read from a very talented writing duo! I fell in love with Wes and Jamie all over again in the second installment of Bowen and Kennedy’s HIM series!

I’ll be honest and say when authors decide to extend happily ever afters I get scared because it doesn’t always work. Some people are just like, LEAVE IT ALONE! LET THEM BE! IT WAS PERFECT! That is NOT the case with US. I loved where the authors took us with Wes and Jamie. It was rocky, scary, beautiful, and IT WORKED! These two characters needed to go through this in order to come out stronger in the end, and boy do they ever!

I love the whole best friends turn lovers aspect. I loved it in the beginning, and in this installment, it came out even more. What Wes and Jamie have is absolutely breathtaking. My heart was in my throat a couple of times during this read, but it was incredibly enjoyable, sweet, and passionate all the same.

With alternating POVs, we get both sides of the story and we get in both of their heads. This was done flawlessly and made for a very fast paced, nice flowing romance. Bowen and Kennedy brought some realness to the table with this book and I think that just made it THAT more entertaining. With tons of SEXY, SWEET, EMOTIONAL times, this collaboration was incredibly successful. The romance and the love that these two main characters share just burst off of every single page. A great follow-up to one of my all time favorite MM Romance couples.

About Elle Kennedy

A New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author, Elle Kennedy grew up in the suburbs of Toronto, Ontario, and holds a B.A. in English from York University. From an early age, she knew she wanted to be a writer, and actively began pursuing that dream when she was a teenager.

Elle writes romantic suspense and erotic contemporary romance for various publishers. She loves strong heroines and sexy alpha heroes, and just enough heat and danger to keep things interesting!

About Sarina Bowen

Sarina Bowen writes steamy, angsty contemporary romance from Vermont’s Green Mountains. (Her ancestors began logging and farming Vermont during the 18th century. These were rugged, outdoor types without benefit of a laptop or a good latte. It boggles the mind.)

Sarina enjoys skiing, skating and good food. She lives in Windsor County, Vermont, with her family, eight chickens and too much ski gear and hockey equipment.
