The first novel in a sexy new series featuring the hockey players of the Brooklyn Bruisers and the women who win their hearts—from the USA Today bestselling author of the Ivy Years series.

In high school they were the perfect couple—until the day Georgia left Leo in the cold...

Hockey player Leo Trevi has spent the last six years trying to do two things: get over the girl who broke his heart, and succeed in the NHL. But on the first day he’s called up to the newly franchised Brooklyn Bruisers, Leo gets checked on both sides, first by the team’s coach—who has a long simmering grudge, and then by the Bruisers’ sexy, icy publicist—his former girlfriend Georgia Worthington.

Saying goodbye to Leo was one of the hardest things Georgia ever had to do—and saying hello again isn’t much easier. Georgia is determined to keep their relationship strictly professional, but when a press conference microphone catches Leo declaring his feelings for her, things get really personal, really fast....

my thoughts

I completely DEVOUR every single thing Sarina Bowen releases, and ROOKIE MOVE reminded me why. Whether she’s writing on her own or co-writing a romance, she NAILS it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. There are very few authors that can immediately put a HUGE smile on my face with their work, and Ms. Bowen is one of those authors.

This second chance, sports romance packed one hell of an emotional punch! The first novel in a brand new series, ROOKIE MOVE gave me butterflies in my stomach and multiple shades of pink to my cheeks. I can say without a doubt, the Brooklyn Bruisers series is going to be a favorite of mine. It brings together my favorite sport (hockey) and my favorite trope (second chance romance), and mix in the sexy factor that Sarina Bowen does best, and you got yourself one HELL of a love story!

ROOKIE MOVE brings the sweet…

“Come back to me, Georgia.”

ROOKIE MOVE brings the heat…

“So fucking good,” … “Now give me that mouth.”

Leo and Georgia were AMAZING characters. Georgia is no wilting flower and Leo is determined as hell. Together, these two were combustible. Mixing sweet, sexy, and so much heart, ROOKIE MOVE left me with a bursting heart and a beautiful sense of satisfaction. Sarina Bowen slays again with this incredible love story.

About Sarina Bowen

Sarina Bowen writes steamy, angsty contemporary romance from Vermont’s Green Mountains. (Her ancestors began logging and farming Vermont during the 18th century. These were rugged, outdoor types without benefit of a laptop or a good latte. It boggles the mind.)

Sarina enjoys skiing, skating and good food. She lives in Windsor County, Vermont, with her family, eight chickens and too much ski gear and hockey equipment.
