Welcome to Hartwell, a quiet seaside escape where uncovering old secrets could lead one woman to discover the meaning of a love that lasts…

While Doctor Jessica Huntington engages with the inmates at the women’s correctional facility where she works, she’s always careful to avoid emotional attachments in her personal life. Loss and betrayal taught her that lesson long ago. But when she comes across a set of old love letters in the prison’s library and visits the picturesque town of Hartwell to deliver them to their intended recipient, she finds herself unable to resist the town’s charm—and her attraction to the sexy owner of a local bar proves equally hard to deny.

Since his divorce from his unfaithful ex-wife, Cooper Lawson has focused on what really matters: his family and the boardwalk pub they’ve owned for generations. But the first time Jessica steps into his bar, Cooper is beyond tempted to risk his heart on her. Yet as their attraction grows hotter and Jessica remains stubbornly closed off, he begins to realize it will take more than just passion to convince her there’s only one real thing in life worth fighting for….

my thoughts

OMG! I’m a blubbering mess of a woman! This story, these characters, the setting…it was just PURE ROMANTIC MAGIC! I want to read it ALL. OVER. AGAIN.

I was seduced by the sweetness of it all and left with a feeling of contentment that only Samantha Young can give me.

I’ve ALWAYS been a cheerleader for the amazing Samantha Young, and this book reminded me why. THE ONE REAL THING has got to be the STRONGEST work that Ms. Young has given her readers. It definitely is a FAVORITE of mine from this author and an AMAZING start to a wonderful new series! The Hart’s Boardwalk series is going to bring huge smiles to reader’s faces and a fulfillment to their hearts. Jessica and Cooper’s delicate love story is a story of finding peace…a perfectly romantic story full of beauty, heart, and love…a story that I never wanted to escape. Nothing brings such brightness to my heart and soul like a Samantha Young romance.

“Don’t leave me,” I said, my words barely above a whisper. “I just found you.”

This heartbreaking and soul-searching romance is brimming with romance, sweetness, and HEAT! The passion…the chemistry…the connection between Jessica and Coop was out of this world beautiful and their interactions brought me to my knees more than once. Right HERE is a story that makes you believe in magic and love. It makes you want to escape and travel to Hart’s Boardwalk, hoping you can prove the legend true. I was absolutely CHARMED from the very start and it just grew and grew with every single page turned.

THE ONE REAL THING is a complex and deep love story. You immediately fall in love with your main characters, but you are also introduced to the people of this incredible town. Samantha Young has so many stories whirling around this town and I can’t wait to unravel them all. I don’t remember a time when I’ve been so EXCITED for a new series! This is only the beginning and I can guarantee that it will only get better! Romance readers will absolutely FALL IN LOVE with these characters and be charmed by their stories, just as I was.
