When her mother’s incessant matchmaking hits an all-time high, Georgie Archibald does what any sensible woman would do: she flees the country.

Seeking refuge in the picturesque seaside village of Vernazza, Italy, Georgie’s only plan is to lie low, gorge herself on gelato, and let the wine and waves wash her troubles away... that is until she wakes up in a bed that belongs to the most romantic-looking man she’s ever seen.

Gianluca.

After going out of his way to rescue her, the former London financier turned mysterious recluse makes it clear that despite acting as her white knight, he has no plans to co-star in her fairytale.

But Georgie isn’t asking for his heart—she’s merely intrigued.

After all, Gianluca isn’t just gorgeous—tall and tan from days spent in the sun—his touch sets her world on fire. With him, Georgie experiences the most intoxicating passion she’s ever known, and it only takes a few steamy nights for her to realize that sometimes running away from trouble is the best way to find it.

my thoughts

R.S. Grey is an author that I absolutely ADORE! I have so much faith in her work, that I don’t need any information about her books before I purchase them. She never EVER disappoints and always gives her readers exactly what they never knew they wanted. A PLACE IN THE SUN is just another example of that fact. This beautiful and sexy romantic comedy is brimming with heat, hope, and tons of heart! Grey delivers a romance so vivid and so passionate, you have no choice but to immerse your whole self into the story. A woman looking for love. A man so desperate to never love again. When their worlds collide, there is nothing to stop their walls from crumbling down. Get your passports ready ladies, R.S. Grey takes us on a beautiful journey to Vernazza, Italy where you will fall in love with the sights and the company.

“You’re my northern wind, my tramontana.”

Georgia Archibald is quite the character. I ADORED her instantly. She is what brought this romantic comedy to LIFE! She is quirky, beautiful inside and out, and completely determined. Tired of her mother setting her up on blind dates with awful men, she sets out on a journey of self-discovery, oh, and to find a husband too. She knew there would be beautiful, sexy, Italian men around every corner. What she wasn’t expecting was the impact it had on her heart when she sets her eyes on Gianluca. She is determined to make him see her, but what she finds out about the brooding Luca is that he has demons that run deeper than she ever could imagine. She can’t give him her heart, because he has no room for it. It’s filled with the torment of his past and she sets out to heal him, and in turn, finds the missing piece of herself.

Oh GOD! I could go on and on about this book, but you just have to experience the brilliance all on your own. Ms. Grey takes her readers on such a beautiful journey with her latest release. I can’t wait for you to take the journey and experience a type of love that you’ve always dreams of.

About R.S. Grey

I am a lover of books, chocolate, reality TV, black labs, and cold weather. Seriously, if I had it my way I would be curled up on the couch with all of those things… everyday.

I live in Texas where I spend my free time writing and reading. My favorite authors are Mindy Kaling & Jonathan Safran Foer. I’m a comedy geek and love all things “funny”. Women like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Mindy Kaling are definitely the biggest inspirations for my writing, though I think my work tends to skew a bit smuttier than theirs.
