The whole world might be in love with him. But all he’s ever loved is her.

Grant Turner’s name is synonymous with football. The fans and media can’t get enough of the player known as The Invincible Man, a nickname he earned while growing up in one of the toughest neighborhoods in the country and the nickname he’s kept by being one of the best players in professional football today. No one can take him down. He’s unstoppable.

But even a suit of armor has its weak point, and Grant’s has always been Ryan Hale.

They were a couple of kids when they fell in love, and just when it looked like the happy ending neither expected was within reach, Ryan disappeared. No explanations. No good-byes.

Grant coped by throwing himself into the game for seven years, and he’s finally moved on. Or so he thinks.

When she walks back into his life, all of those feelings come crashing back, despite the warnings in his head that tell him she’ll leave him again. Grant can withstand the league’s toughest defensive line, but he’s always been weak where she’s concerned.

No man can take Grant Turner down.

But one woman certainly can.

One woman will.

my thoughtsThis story broke me.

Plain and simple, Touching Down shattered my heart and by the end, even though my heart was mended, there was a lingering ache for these characters that will probably never go away. It’s completely rare that a sports romance would hit me so hard, but it did and that was an unexpected surprise that I am so thankful for. Emotional stories tug on my heart strings and make the reading experience that much more real and intriguing. Grant and Ryan were just incredible characters and their story will not only break your heart, it will scatter the pieces so it will be that much harder to put it back together again. This is a happily ever after that readers will have to work for. Get ready for an emotional earthquake that will knock you off your axis.

“I want you, Ryan Hale. Your heart, your soul, your body, and your very existence. I want this life and your next. I want it all.”

You can read the synopsis all day long, but NOTHING will prepare you for what’s about to happen when you turn the first page. Every page after that is like another punch to the gut. But it’s followed by a soothing balm that the author carefully places in this story.

This second chance love story will keep you awake at night. It will change the way you look at life. It will make you more grateful of what you have and help you to stop thinking about all you don’t have. TOUCHING DOWN is literary magic that you will not see coming.

Seven years…it’s been seven years since Grant laid his eyes on Ryan. He has never forgotten her, nor will he ever forget that she just up and left him with no explanation. When she walks back into his life, he is about to get an explanation of a lifetime. I can’t stress this enough…you will need tissues! Lots and lots of tissues! Your heart will ache when secrets are revealed, and Grant and Ryan’s journey has just begun…the happily ever after is a hard-fought one. Don’t give up. Read on and experience the ache that their story will give you. In the end, it will be worth it. Every tear…every sob…will not go to waste. I promise you, this story will forever be embedded in your heart. For being my first read from this author….WOW! What a HELL of a first impression!

Nicole Williams is the New York Times and USATODAY bestselling author of contemporary and young adult romance, including the Crash and Lost & Found series. Her books have been published by HarperTeen and Simon & Schuster in both domestic and foreign markets, while she continues to self-publish additional titles. She is working on a new YA series with Crown Books (a division of Random House) as well. She loves romance, from the sweet to the steamy, and writes stories about characters in search of their happily even after. She grew up surrounded by books and plans on writing until the day she dies, even if it’s just for her own personal enjoyment. She still buys paperbacks because she’s all nostalgic like that, but her kindle never goes neglected for too long. When not writing, she spends her time with her husband and daughter, and whatever time’s left over she’s forced to fit too many hobbies into too little time.

Nicole is represented by Jane Dystel, of Dystel and Goderich Literary Agency.
