Hartwell, Delaware—the perfect place to get away from it all, and find what you never knew you needed…
Bailey Hartwell has many reasons to feel content—her successful business, a close circle of friends, and her steady boyfriend…even if their romance feels staid after ten years without a serious commitment. The only challenge in her life comes in the form of sexy businessman Vaughn Tremaine. She thinks the ex-New Yorker acts superior and that he considers her a small-town nobody. But when Bailey’s blindsided by a betrayal, she’s shocked to discover Vaughn is actually a decent guy.
Vaughn admires Bailey’s free spirit, independence, and loyalty. As his passion for her has grown, his antagonism toward her has only worsened. Every little thing Bailey does seduces him. But when Vaughn’s painful emotional past makes him walk away in fear he will hurt her, it opens an old wound in Bailey, and she uncharacteristically retreats.
Once Vaughn begins to realize he’s made the biggest mistake of his life, he has no choice but to fight like he’s never fought before to convince Bailey that the love they’ve found together only comes around once in a lifetime.
EVERY LITTLE THING by Samantha Young can pretty much be summed up using the words of Dahlia McGuire…
“That can’t be the end of the story,” Dahlia sounded horrified. “This is Bailey Hartwell and Vaughn Tremaine. This is epic enemies-to-lovers shit!”
Ever since finishing up THE ONE REAL THING, book one in the Hart’s Boardwalk Series, I’ve yearned for Bailey and Vaughn’s happily ever after. I was absolutely SMITTEN by these two from the very beginning. Bailey Hartwell, the darling of Hartwell, Delaware is one of those characters that you want to become instant friends with. She’s feisty. She says what’s on her mind, consequences be damned. I admire her in every way possible. When she gets her heart broken, the small town rally’s around her and makes her feel less alone. But that doesn’t mean the idea of starting over at the age of thirty-four doesn’t scare the absolutely shit out of her. On top of that, the gorgeous and arrogant Vaughn Tremaine is every where she turns, and he is NOT making life easier for her. When Vaughn comes to her rescue, they end up in bed together, and let me tell you…it was MAGICAL! Hate sex at it’s finest!
“Beg me again, Bailey.”
OMG! You guys!!! And the fire just burned brighter from then on. Vaughn can try to lie to himself and say that he is no good for the princess of Hartwell, but his protective instincts always win out in the end. Their antagonistic ways get the better of them when their attraction cannot be ignored. So to reiterate, Samantha Young writes some pretty EPIC enemies-to-lovers shit! I had no idea that I would fall even harder for these characters AND this town. The passion, the emotion, the heart that was packed into every single page, was just EVERYTHING To me. I feel so invested in these characters. I’m invested in this quaint town in Delaware. I NEED MORE! I need more Iris and Ira. I need more Cooper and Jessica. I need more Emery and Dahlia, and I definitely NEED MORE Bailey and Vaughn. I’m addicted to the outcome of all of these characters. I’m addicted to the ongoing storyline with the bad guys who might not be all bad. I can’t get enough! I will never get enough! I’m hooked. I’m obsessed. I’m IN LOVE. Who’s going to be next? I have no clue. There are a few possibilities and a few gems of information that popped up in EVERY LITTLE THING that has me intrigued. I can’t wait!
