The first rule of office romance is don’t do it—especially if your dream is to hold the anchor spot on the nightly news and your boss is trying to get you fired.
But one look at Cade Hill, the sexy new sports director, and uptight reporter Rebecca Fieldstone is daydreaming about other things.
Sex in his office…
Sex in the on-set kitchen…
Sex in the supply closet…
She can’t stop thinking about the former NFL quarterback and how perfect he’d look between her sheets—except he’s an arrogant jerk with a huge...ego.
He’s the last guy she’d ever have a one-night stand with.
Cade Hill draws a professional line on office romance—until it comes to the hyper-focused Rebecca. He wants her, and he gets his wish when a chance encounter has them having the hottest sex of their lives.
It’s just a hook-up, she says.
When can we do it again? he says.
With Rebecca determined to keep Cade in the friend zone, it’s going to be an uphill battle for Cade to convince her that he’s the last guy for her…
With quite a few authors nowadays teaming up and co-writing romances, I was absolutely THRILLED to see that Ilsa Madden-Mills and Tia Louise was taking the plunge. If you are familiar with each of these author’s work, you know that this just MAKES SENSE in every possible way! They both have given us HOT contemporaries and now they have teamed up to give us one HELL of a romantic comedy! THE LAST GUY was FUN, FLIRTY, SEXY, and INCREDIBLY ENTERTAINING! This is one office romance that will have you BEGGING for more!
“You taste like everything good, Stone.”
I just LOVED this to pieces! Rebecca Fieldstone and Cade Hill are a match made in heaven, that’s for sure! The chemistry is HOT! The banter is HILARIOUS!
Ok, so Rebecca is a complete mess! And I loved the hell out of her. She’s quirky and yet such a spitfire. This is what draws Cade in, in the first place. Cade is all smooth and sexy and successful, and Rebecca is the opposite of him, and it just works so well when they are together. There is a push/pull element because Rebecca is on a mission and can’t get caught up in any romantic entanglements, but with Cade it just seems easy and oh so sexy. How could she stay away? I love how Cade called Rebecca ‘Stone’ and she is so irritated by it. The whole dynamic is just so cute, sweet, and turns to SCORCHING HOT real fast!
She just wants a one-time deal, but he wants a hell of a lot more than that once he’s had a taste. Rebecca has to focus on her career and NOT on Cade’s tight backside. The friend zone is the LAST place Cade wants to be pushed to, so he is determined to get more out of the sassy and gorgeous reporter.
If you’re looking for a HOT and SEXY summer read, look no further than THE LAST GUY! Pour a shot of Fireball and get settled in for one scorching HOT romantic romp!
